Weekly rentals in the Keys {and generally elsewhere } are based on a Saturday to Saturday occupancy. Check - in is on Saturday at 4:00 PM, and check - out is on the following Saturday at 9:00 AM. If other times are required \ requested please advise .
Pups are welcome --- they must be approved and there is a limit of 3 . The weekly fees are as follows : 1 pup = $250, 2 pup = $400. , 3 pup = $500. Pups must be orderly and cleaned up after, thanks !

Located on the desirable ocean side of Marathon , Casa Del Sol is a beautiful waterfront estate situated on a vast and very private corner lot. The interior includes a new gourmet kitchen with granite counter tops and premium dual fuel appliances. An old world charm is captured through the use of arches and stone columns. All rooms, including bedrooms and baths are large, airy, and sun drenched.
On the second floor, at either end of the house, are two master bedrooms with en suite bathrooms. Each master bedroom extends out onto beautiful covered balconies which overlook the waterfront. There is a third bedroom with king size bed as well as a fourth bedroom with two sets of bunk beds. These last two bedrooms share a full bathroom. Additionally there is a Pack and Play as well as a crib available for our guests.

On the ground floor, in addition to the chef's kitchen and dining room, there is an expansive living room with comfortable seating for all { at least a dozen } . Also on the ground floor there are private living quarters to include a bedroom with king bed, a kitchenette , a full bathroom , and a beautiful living room. This suite may be accessed from within the house or by way of a private outdoor entrance on the covered porch. There are NO stairs to climb !
The "Fish Room " offers an OPTIONAL 6th bedroom , and is detached from the house and situated on the waterfront overlooking the dock. This private space includes a bedroom with a king size bed as well as a full bathroom. The main house is only licenced for 12 guests ---- adding the "Fish Room" increases the capacity to 14 guests. The rate of the "Fish Room " for the week is $950 plus tax and cleaning { $1293.75 total } . The floors throughout the house and Fish Room are laid with a rustic travertine marble. ONLY guests registered at Casa Del Sol for the week can stay in the Fish Room.
A large brick patio and pool area on the water side overlook 250' of dock space. A covered barbecue area with built in appliances to include a DCS premium gas grill, power burner, Big Green Egg smoker, and sink are surrounded by mature landscaping. Propane gas is piped directly to the grilling area, so there is no need for propane tanks and the hassle associated with them. There are tables and chairs on the porch providing lots of space for outdoor dining. An inviting setting for family and friends of all ages.
There is ample room in our driveway to park four or five cars as well as a boat trailer. The dock is large enough for several boats and is equipped with a fish cleaning station as well as a bait freezer.
Casa del Sol is a family home and was not built or designed as a rental property, and consequently reflects the attention to details often lacking on today's rental market Casa del Sol was built and designed by D'asign Source, Marathon's premiere builder \ designer.

Great location, Beautiful home
The property is as listed, ideal location. Owners were fantastic to work with and helpful. The home needs some small updates, but overall this property is worth the investment. We would consider returning if we have a larger group again. We hosted our children and grandchildren, and the layout is very accommodating to a larger family. The owners are great!

12 of us stayed at this property and we really don’t have any complaints maybe just tips. The owners are sweet people who are happy to share this home. I always leave places we stay at in the same condition we found it in, so housekeeping isn’t left our mess and can go about their job. There is plenty of space, the dock is great. Every couple having their own bathroom is such a nice thing. The pool isn’t an Olympic size but it was perfect to cool off in and for the kids to play. There is plenty of parking and the location is excellent. We did have to replenish supplies like paper products and dish soap, but we were not bothered by that. All rental homes have requirements so we made sure to follow them all and enjoyed our time. The only thing that was a little difficult was washing towels before we left with check out at 9:00am. Everyone had to get up early to be able to shower and then get the towels washed dried and folded then out by 9:00 but we did it! I understand why it’s that way so the house can be turned over by 4:00, so if you plan accordingly the night before you check out, the morning will go smooth. We rented kayaks and a pontoon, fished, and had a manatee visit us. The beach was a short bike ride and that’s what it’s all about, fun in the sun!

Great place for a family event
Needed a large home for a week near a great beach for a "Keys wedding". Comfortable sleeping set-up for our 4 grandkids 2 sets of parents, and 4 grandparents. Sombrero Beach is 5 minutes away and very kid friendly. Jim and Tudor are great hosts.

For years we vacationed in the islands and Central America for holidays. We finally settled on Caye Caulker, in Belize ,where we spent many happy years. In 2000 we wanted to find a place in the US where travel would be easier and medical services better.
Marathon offered all of that yet still had the island feel. Surprisingly it also turned out to be better fishing all around than any of the other places that we had been.

We chose this property for it's size and privacy. We have five boys and a girl and we wanted to have plenty of room for the whole family. The house needed total rennovation which was good as we were able to do just about everything that we wanted to do with it.
