CASA BARBON is a new vacation home that includes 3 separate private casitas available for rent. Each casita includes a queen bed, kitchenette, lounge, ensuite bath, A/C, ceiling fan, as well as a shared rooftop patio with kitchen. With sweeping hillside jungle views from the rooftop you can enjoy both the amazing sunrises and sunsets of Sayulita.

Each casita includes a kitchenette with a mini fridge, coffee maker and toaster oven. The shared rooftop patio kitchen includes a mini fridge, stove top and BBQ.

The casitas were designed to provide privacy and well appointed spaces creating a comfortable, relaxing vacation home for our guests. Additional discounts are available for 4 week + bookings and unit combination bookings.

Our location offers the perfect balance between the hustle and bustle of the main pueblo and a rural community setting. Situated in the south end of Sayulita in an authentic Mexican neighborhood we are an easy 10-12 minute walk to the centre of town and to the beach. We have a great little neighborhood comprised of many local families who are a tight knit community. Children play in the streets, neighbors gather in their courtyards and roosters crow in the distance.

We have free off street parking available and easy access from the Punta Mita Highway. There are also bike and golf cart rentals available in town.

Roosters! and Dogs
Overall the property was quite good. Amy was extremely nice and met me when I checked in. However, it would have been nice to have a microwave in the kitchenette to warm up leftovers. The location was quite a hike up Libertad and across the Punta de Mita highway then down an unmarked Cinco de Mayo that was merely a dirt lane...which at first was a bit unsettling. After a few days, I came to enjoy the place. The rooftop patio , with a jungle view from the south was delightful! even though it was a shared space. Overall I enjoyed my stay at Casa Barbon.

Quaint accommodation in Mexican neighbourhood
Amy and Tom’s unit was exactly what we were looking for during our holiday in Sayulita. It was clean, in excellent condition, and outside of the busy downtown core. The walk into town was only 10 minutes (max) and there are corner stores nearby too. We very much enjoyed the rooftop kitchen and patio to cook a few of our own meals. Purified water is provided as well. Wi-fi was great and the air-conditioning was amazing to cool the room when needed. Like most Mexican neighbourhoods, roosters and dogs are sometimes a little vocal at night but Amy and Tom provide earplugs. We became accustomed to the local ambiance after a couple of nights so didn’t need them. Thanks Amy and Tom - would love to stay again sometime!

Missing a few things
As whole the place was clean and pleasant. Not too many roosters that felt the need to call at 5 am. Once we found the street that was the fist left on the main St down to town the walk was easy and enjoyable. A few things that could have been better were small and we probably could have gotten right away were basic things like tongs and a spatula. Makes bacon and eggs much easier. On a more major note a couple of small chairs or a little couch in the room would have been nice for reading or just sitting. The bed or concrete bench don’t really cut it when you have a bad back. The same holds true for the deck area, a few real chairs (not sling chairs) would make the experience better. We would come again with these improvements.

Great place to stay in Sayulita.
Amy and Tom have a great place here! The pictures represent the place well. It is beautiful, clean, bright space. Everything in the unit worked well. Walked every night from the place downtown at all hours and felt very safe, some routes into town brighter than others. Less than a 10 minute walk into town, a little more to the beach. We walked everywhere in Sayulita, hiked to San Pancho and took a taxi home, and took the bus to La Lancha twice during our stay. Enjoyed being in an authentic Mexican neighborhood, happy to have the quiet nights and the rooster wake-up in the morning. Thanks for having us as guests, we loved the place!
