Our Beach Retreat is the perfect getaway spot - Sanibel is a nature sanctuary, nature surrounds you, no high rise buildings block the view of the courtyard, beach or water. Covid concerns- We have added a UV light system to our air conditioner to kill bacteria and viruses in the air and our housekeeper has implemented additional cleaning and sanitizing procedures. Check in and check out without human contact too.

Loggerhead was hit by Hurricane Ian but we celebrated our grand reopening on Feb. 5. The major building repairs are done, the pool has reopened and the pickleball and tennis courts will be ready in the next few weeks. You can book your court time ahead of time or just show up and join a pick up game with the rackets we provide our guests. Lap Swimmers- Loggerhead has set aside 8-9 a.m. and 4-5 p.m. as adults only swim times.

Ready for a vacation? Imagine spending your vacation in one of the few complexes that's so close to the shoreline that you can hear the surf while sitting on the lanai. This is a shell seekers paradise ! Sanibel is known for its abundance and variety of seashells. There is even a Shell Museum here.
Our Loggerhead Cay condo is the one for you! Well maintained, beautifully decorated 2nd floor, Building 1 condo with wonderful views of the beach and Gulf. You will have an assigned parking spot, just steps from the elevator,( elevator due to be functional as of 2/17/2024) making it easy to move right in. Built before Sanibel building setbacks were established, this condo is in one of the closest to the beach buildings on the island! This is the perfect place to relax, unwind and make wonderful memories.

The open kitchen, dining, living space allows everyone to be together in one large room. Our unit sleeps six, the bed set-up lets everyone sleep in a bed - nobody has to sleep in the living room on a hideaway sofa bed. Beds- Primary has a King Bed and the Guest room has a Queen and Twin Bunk beds. This condo is fully stocked, just bring your swimsuit and flip flops and you are ready to relax on the beach on the lounge chairs we have provided, build a sandcastle, with the beach toys we provide, take a swim in the heated complex pool then dry off with the provided beach towels, explore the island and learn the 'Sanibel Stoop'. Alert- shelling is addictive! The lanai is the perfect location to enjoy breakfast or to unwind after a day spent exploring. Just don't let the sound of the waves put you to sleep! Too much fun in the sun - relax in the living room and enjoy a movie from our DVD library on the 55" flatscreen TV or select a book from the many we offer our guests. This is a non-smoking, pet free unit. 132 is in Building 1, and looks directly out over the gulf.
Rental rates are usually determined by each units' proximity to the beach.

This is a non smoking unit; smokers are asked not to request a booking as the smoke smell on all of your personal goods will linger after you depart. The smoker will be financially responsible for any additional cleaning that is required.
Our condo is also pet free due to a family member with a severe dander allergy.

We have done the dolphin breakfast cruise from Ding Darling several times and the kids love it. Sanibel has no stoplights, no high rise buildings and a dark sky ordinance - only low voltage lighting can be used at night. This is a wonderful place to relax and enjoy nature. The Sanibel Lighthouse ( lighting the path to San Carlos Bay since 1884) is a nice walk down the beach from our condo, as is the fishing pier (The pier was severely damaged by Ian and not yet rebuilt as of 02/2024). East Gulf drive has easy access to Periwinkle for shopping and restaurants and is just 5 minutes from the Causeway.

Being on the second floor in our condo puts you at the treetops, above the human noise on the ground level but you are still close enough to enjoy the sounds of nature. Both the beach and pool are just a minute walk from this condo.

Electronics- We provide secure high speed internet/WiFi for our guests. There are 3 flat screen TVs with cable and a DVD player in the guest room. Need a break from electronics - we offer books and games and a chaise for napping on the lanai.

The kitchen has most everything you may need, including a crock pot so you can start dinner and head out to enjoy the day and know that you have dinner waiting for you when you return.

Why Sanibel ? - We love to be away from the busy lives we live and to just relax and hang out with our family and friends on the beach. Getting to escape the winter weather in the Midwest is a bonus! Having been transferred several times, our youngest pointed out that Loggerhead Cay is the best place he has ever lived. I agree!
