This 4,800 s.f. home is nestled in the foothills of Ajijic with views of Lake Chapala. The 2 story residence is about 3/4 mile from the city center of this tranquil English-speaking town and only 40 minutes from historic Guadalajara.

The villa provides the perfect getaway and is the ideal location for lazy days of sunning, swimming, bird watching, sipping margaritas, or reading. In the evenings you can enjoy superb meals at charming nearby restaurants or create your own meals in the villa's gourmet kitchen and eat on one of the outdoor terraces. The balmy breezes and quiet nights will soothe and revive you; and when you are revived, you can work online or keep in touch with folks back home using our wi-fi and high speed internet connections and VOIP set to your USA area code.

Better than the pictures

This is absolutely a beautiful home with stunning views of Lake Chapala and the mountain sides. Mimi is a great host and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The location is excellent for quick access to restaurants in the city of Ajijic.

Wonderful home with beautiful grounds and pool

The only surprises we had in this lovely home were good ones. The beds were very comfortable, the internet was consistent and fast, the pool was reaching 86 Fahrenheit with the solar heating and the water was safe to drink. Wel will go back again

Quiet, relaxation in a beautiful indoor/outdoor living experience

An amazing villa with Mexican architecture set in a beautiful garden all meticulously kept. Spacious rooms and patios for all of us to gather and to be alone. We loved walking everywhere. It was a very relaxing and easy getaway. Highly recommended.

Ajijic Experience!

Beautiful, Very well appointed, and Immaculate! It fit all our needs plus. The location is perfect. The villa, the grounds, the pool, were all fabulous! If your considering Ajijic, this is a must stay place! Thank you to the host.

I am a retired lawyer and my husband is a retired teacher. We live in the E. Bay Area of Northern California and get down to Mexico about twice a year.

Por qué eligió esta propiedad

My husband and I visited Ajijic for 4 days in the summer of 2005. Before we left, we bought this house! It was the most impulsive thing we had ever done, especially since we were not planning to move to Mexico. However, we love having a home in the magical little town of Ajijic. And now that we are sharing it with our guests, it makes sense to keep it.

Qué distingue a esta propiedad

For me it's all about the tranquility. We have the mountains in back of us, the lake down below, and tropical birds splashing in the fountain in front of the terraza. I'm a golfer so I play at Chula Vista just about every day when we're there. My husband is a computer guy so he spends most of his days online. But we eat out most nights -- so that is our together time. Also we're both readers so we bring a stack of books and magazines and catch up on our reading in Ajijic.
