Paraiso del Mar is one-of-a-kind community with an 8-mile long virgin and secluded beach, an Arthur Hills golf course and tennis courts. It's very safe as it occupies the whole peninsula across the channel from La Paz downtown. A free boat shuttles between La Paz and Paraiso del Mar. The 8-minute ride is much fun, everybody loved it. As you step off the boat, a free shuttle van will take you to the condos (a 3-minute ride). All employees of the resort are very friendly, helpful and accommodating - you will feel welcome and loved there!
The Sea of Cortez is home for countless species of marine plants and animals, forming such a unique ecosystem that it was baptized by Jacques Cousteau as "The Aquarium of the World." You might see dolphins right from the terrace of your condo. Or for closer encounters with marine life go sea kayaking (kayaks are available for guests) or on a whale watching or fishing trip. Whale sharks are often seen in Paraiso del Mar waters and you can kayak close to swim with them. The incredible island of Ispiritu Santo is just a short boat ride away.
Every year, sea turtles lay eggs on our beach. Our residents protect the nests, and when small turtles hatch, residents and vacationers participate in the ceremony of releasing the turtle babies to the sea, protecting them from dangers of reaching the water themselves.
The beach is amazing and safe. It's quite shallow for a long distance, so even babies can safely enjoy the water.
There are yoga classes by the pool, three times a week. Extra mats are available. Private yoga class and massage are available. Pilate classes 9-10 am every Monday and Friday (as of Feb 2, 2023).
La Paz downtown is a short boat ride away. You can enjoy a walk along the Malecon, visit restaurants and shopping areas. Everything is within walking distance, so you can save on rental car. It will be cheaper and easier to hire a taxi or Uber a couple of times when you want to visit another beach or go food shopping.
And if you have a car with you, don't plan on driving all the way to Paraiso del Mar. The road is long and not paved on the peninsula, you would need a 4WD. But you can safely leave your car near La Paz dock along the curb or on the paid parking before boarding the boat.
