PLEASE BE ADVISED- The base price is for the initial one or two guests. Additional guests -INCLUDING CHILDREN OF ANY AGE - are charged at $30 per person, per night. Undeclared additional guests are charged at $100 per person, per night, charged through VRBO as "extra bed" and due immediately. The external portions of the space (Front/Back yard, and walkways)are covered by security cameras to ensure the safety and integrity of the property) We are building an additional dwelling unit on the alley. The use of the Sauna is shared with our alley unit -"Oak Alley". They have ODD days - CZZ has EVEN days. Owners may, at time use it as well.

Chez ZigZag' is an upstairs apartment accessed from 204 S Oak St. It's only three blocks from the ferry to Victoria. It has a delightful view of the Strait of Juan de Fuca , Victoria, B.C., Mt. Baker and assorted ocean going vessels. The activity of the harbor is always changing. Over 60 different types of boats and ships can be seen regularly.
"Chez" (pronounced "shay") is French for "at the home of", and "ZigZag" is derived from the locally named ‘zigzag’ walkway that connects the home to the downtown area. Chez ZigZag is within easy walking distance of: downtown and an excellent organic grocery "Country Aire" (1 block), Field Arts And Event Center, and Safeway / Starbucks (2 blocks), the Coho Ferry (3 blocks) and Hollywood Beach/ Discovery Trail head (4 blocks). Downtown also boasts a wide variety of excellent restaurants - all just a short walk away.
Guests have access to either the front patio with its clear Dome-i-cile, the rear covered patio in the back, or the Sauna (on even days). Chez ZigZag offers a memorable home away from home, stocked with everything you could want or need for a wonderful visit to Port Angeles. Add to that sine Fresh Eggs from the Coop in the back yard for a delicious breakfast. The owners live on the main level and are eager to make sure your stay is wonderful, but won't be bothering you. They can be there on arrival to answer any questions and show you around if requested. Why stay anywhere else!
FYI - The gate to the front patio is latched, but not locked, every night at 10PM a You're welcome to stay late, but please latch the gate when you retire.

Perfect Port Angeles Getaway!
Chez Zig Zag did not disappoint! Adorable cottage with lots of amenities. We loved enjoying a cocktail in the dome and watching the sunset over the water after a long day of hiking in Olympic. Brent and Amy were very hospitable and had great recommendations! The chickens and free eggs were a pleasant bonus! Will definitely stay here again if I visit this area in the future

Quick getaway
Stayed 4 nights while visiting family and for attending the Leo Yang performance at the Field and Arts Hall. Convenient location for walking to groceries, rental bikes and restaurants!! Clean, quiet, with great views!!

This gem, nestled at the top of the hill, overlooking the town of Port Angeles and the beautiful water did not disappoint. The details in the home and throughout the property were thoughtful, welcoming and above and beyond expectations. The hosts thought of everything.

Wonderful, thoughtful, light and bright PA getway!
If you are looking for a place where you could walk to the ferry, a healthy market and the buzz of a small town, with fantastic mattresses, everything you could ask for in a compact kitchen, views out the living space to be zen to, a bright beautiful reno'd bath then look no further. It has a home feel. So be respectful guests and treat it like a queen because this place has a very sweet vibe and gracious hosts.

Chez Zig Zag is a great spot to explore Port Angeles and the Peninsula. Super comfy, easy walk to restaurants and the waterfront. Best view in town too!

Amy and Brent are both active Realtors with IDEAL Realty, Port Angeles. Both are regular cyclists and enjoy biking around the North Olympic Peninsula. Living here has been a blessing to them and they look forward to sharing the wonders of Port Angeles and the North Olympic Peninsula with their guests.
After living all over the USA, they've decided this is the best place of all. The natural beauty of the surroundings and the friendly people are delightful. Amy grew up in Pennsylvania, Brent in Southern Oregon. They have four grown children and three grand kids. They've now been married for 42 wonderful years and look forward to many more.
They live on the main floor and are always available should a special need arise. They may, occasionally, be using either one of the two patios or the Sauna, or be maintaining other aspects of the property, but will endeavor to do this when Guests are not present. They promise to be as invisible as possible in order to not disturb the guests.

We stumbled into a vacation rental. The home we purchased came with a separate apartment upstairs. Our renters moved out and we spent the next 4 months remodeling the apartment. Amy did the designing, Brent and hired professionals did the rest.
We are excited to offer it to visitors to our area. If we came to Port Angeles looking for a vacation rental, this is the one we would pick. It is luxurious, and centrally located with easy access to just about everything. Chez Zig Zag provides a peaceful retreat that can't be beat. Come see. You won't be disappointed!

We were attracted to our home by the fact it had been solidly and well constructed and remained in original condition. Best of all there had been no mediocre, ill conceived home owner remodels to correct... it was a blank canvas. What you see now took several years, financial commitment and many craftsmen's hours to accomplish. We are excited to share it with you.
