Every season holds a reason to enjoy Bear’s Lair. Inside enjoy a wood-burning fireplace, pool table, WIFI and multiple TV’s. Outside show off your grill skills, take time to star gaze and enjoy the outside hot tub. **WARNING: Staying at Bear's Lair may create addictive mountain vacation behavior. Great Place to Stay in West Virginia!

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We stayed at Bear’s Lair for 3 nights in March 2024. Upon arriving, we were blown away at how cute and cozy the house was. There was plenty of space for 3 couples! The house was situated close to the main road, but there was minimal noise excluding the wildlife that frequented the yard. The house was situated close to enough to Davis and the state parks such that it was only a maximum of a 15 minute drive anywhere! Everything was lovely and clean. We definitely recommend staying here!

Bears lair

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We have stayed here several times but each year it gets more run down. The roofing has TVEK pieces on it. The furniture needs to be updated. The ottoman is still really gross and putting a blanket on it doesn't make it better. I know these homes are hard to maintain but little things can go a long way. Hope the owners get a handle on the repairs.

Great Layout, Perfect Location

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Couldn't ask for a better location to Timberline. The place had plenty of space, was great with two families and 5 kids. Pool table and hot tub was a hit. The property was a bit "tired", and unfortunately was a bit dirty when we arrived (really the kitchen/dining room - bathrooms and bedrooms were sparkling), but other than that was a great place and we'd likely return.

Thanksgiving GetAway

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our family - 3 adult couples and a baby loved staying in the Bear's Lair. It was spacious & clean. We loved the wood burning fireplace in the cozy LR & especially loved being so close to Dolly Sods for some great hikes. Highly recommend. . We would definintely go back!
