Life on Great King!
What a lovely two weeks we spent at the Great King Street flat. The flat itself is beautifully furnished with antiques which led friends to whom I had sent photos to exclaim, "how posh!" The kitchen was fully equipped, and though we didn't often eat an evening meal at home, we enjoyed breakfasts and coffee to get us going in the mornings. The flat is best suited for adults who enjoy fine furniture and art and are willing to take good care of the owner's belongings. Did I mention how close to public transportation this flat is? So convenient. We would like to return!

Comfortable stay in fantastic location
I felt very comfortable staying at Peter's flat. It was spotlessly clean and warm inside thanks to Anna who maintains the property in a conscientious manner.
The location is fantastic being within an easy walking distance of many attractions.
I look forward to my next stay.

Lovely month in Edinburgh
My partner and I had a magnificent 5-6 week stay in Peter's beautiful flat. The flat is spacious and tastefully appointed and had absolutely everything we needed. It was really nice to just sit reading a book and looking out onto the street.
On the practical side, there is heaps of hot water and the heating worked very well (we visited in the middle of winter and actually turned the bedroom heater down a little), The kitchen is well equiped and it's a quick walk to the small Tesco, and not much further to Broughton St / bottom of Dundas for some 'higher-end groceries'.
Though we didn't meet him in person, Peter was consistently great to deal with.
And finally....Anna (the housekeeper) was fanstastic. In particular she helped out with a very late change to our arrival time (thanks to our airline) so that we weren't standing around after a 35 hour set of flights.
Overall, we'd love to visit again.

Perfect New Town base for two
A very enjoyable stay in this spacious, comfortable, well-equipped, antique-filled, upper ground-floor flat in a grand New Town house. Thanks to host Peter & property manager Anna. We'd return with pleasure on our next visit.

The well-regarded New Town location is close to the shops and restaurants of Broughton Street. The raised Ground Floor contains the principal rooms of the Georgian house under 13 foot ceilings. The past few years have seen a renewed interest in times gone by and I have chosen a 'Downton Abbey' theme to the furnishings and decoration using reclaimed fixtures, antique furniture and period colors.

The sunny eat-in kitchen, large dining hall, sunny studio bedroom and substantial drawing room with its two vast windows make this flat a very comfortable and versatile home. The kitchen, bath and laundry have all new appliances. Two period marble fireplaces (decorative only, not working), working window shutters and an eclectic collection of objects combine to create a unique feeling of serenity.
