Bar Harbor fall vacation
My familly and I stayed in Bar Harbor Oct 14-28. The house was exactly as pictured and described. When we arrived the house was immaculate. Very clean and well appointed. Simple things matter: soft toilet paper, kleenex in every room, plush towels, comfortable beds and the whole place smelled so good.
The kitchen was our main gathering place and it was surprisingly well stocked. Our intent was to cook many meals in and nearly everything we needed was there. Spices, oils, plastic wrap, pancake mix, flour, brown sugar etc. There were plenty of dishes and pans to cook with. The coffee maker was especially handy as it was able to do a large pot of coffee or use individual pods. It was a Ninja brand.
The location of the house was absolutely perfect!. It was close to everything. We walked everywhere. We walked to little shops, to restaurants (our favorites were, Side Street Cafe, Thirsty Whale and Jordon's). The grocery store is only a block away and little ice cream shops and coffee shops are close too.
We drove to Acadia for our fabuous hikes and it was only 10 - 15 minutes away. So nice to come home in the evening and not have to worry about parking.
The water was nice and hot for showers after a long and tiring day of hiking. And it was so quiet in the evenings for a good night's sleep.
We loved everything about this house. It was the nicest VRBO we have ever stayed in. Book it quick because it will make your vacation to Acadia/Bar Harbor area the best ever!
