Your own private suite, spa bath, double shower, lounging area, eating area, private entrance, deck, and fire pit for our guests.

Our guests confirm that WE ARE CLOSE TO EVERYTHING!

As we move into our ninth year with Vacation Rentals, our goal remains the same: To provide our guests with a safe location to stay and super clean accommodations. We use the recommendations of the CDC for disinfecting between each visiting guest. We use plush towels, hand towels, and wash cloths.

We have three new features to ensure our guests have an exceptional time in Asheville. First, we have added a fire pit with supplied fire wood provided as an optional feature and for a slight additional fee. Second, we now have a whole house generator so our guests have an uninterrupted power source while here. And, third, we just installed a new mini-split air conditioning unit so guests have complete control over their room temperature and can be comfortable year around.

When you stay with us, we look out for you…we turn on extra lights when you come and go and we’ll help you with anything you might need while you’re here. As many of our guests have stated in their reviews, we are close and easily accessible to everything in the Asheville area. In addition to Asheville, we’re midway between Black Mountain and Cherokee in the Great Smoky Mountains. Many of our guests have commented that our suite is bigger than the picture looks – it is over 500 square feet! We offer high-end bedding with a NEW pillow-top mattress, separate seating area, a dining table, hotel quality bath linens and bath amenities, large spa tub bath and separate double shower, and private deck/porch with lovely views of the mountains. Paved entrance and reserved parking allow guests to come & go as they please. For your entertainment while lounging in your seating area or from your bed, we offer Charter Spectrum Live Streaming Television, Hulu, Prime Video, Paramount Plus, and others. For your listening pleasure, Spectrum offers multiple music channels, and free WIFI. Also in the suite is a DVD player, microwave oven, Keurig Coffee Maker, and refrigerator/freezer. Uber Cab and Lyfte are available to and from the location at 72 Candler Knob Road, Asheville. 28806. We have well over 300 five-star reviews from VRBO and other rental sites. Top Of The Knob was the perfect place for a quiet getaway very clean, perfect setting with a beautiful view . Great distance to our visit at the Biltmore . Patti & Ken were so pleasant and informative. The outdoor fire pit was a great extra and we enjoyed and quiet evening there, looking at the stars. We hope to go back again

First Visit to Asheville

Ken and Patti were perfect host giving us the privacy we wanted, and attentive to our needs and questions. Top O' The Knob provided a wonderful "Get Away" accommodations for us to explore Asheville for the first time. It was was quiet and comfortable with a great view from the front porch. Unfortunately, Mother Nature gave us a chilly windy week, so we were not able to enjoy the porch or firepit area. Hope to do that the next time we're visiting Asheville area. Only 10 to 20 minutes away from the Biltmore and other Asheville destination.

Very pleasant

Very nice cottage style rental. Very clean with all the amenities you need. Location was convenient to West Asheville. The owners extremely nice and offered help if needed. Check in smooth, and parking convenient. A shirt walk to the cottage from the parking space though.

Relaxing Retreat

Your lovely and spacious cabin was a relaxing retreat each day after our house hunting outings. We have fallen in love with the area and look forward to making Asheville our forever home. Ken moved to the area in 1982 from Florida, and Patti arrived 10 years later. We met in 1996 and have been together ever since. In 2007, we bought our West Asheville home on the top of our Knob because of the spectacular view and privacy. Ken retired in 2008, and Patti is semi-retired. Patti is a part-time potter and has her studio in the basement of the home. Ken enjoys photography, and we both love to travel and are scuba divers. We love to host our guests at The Top O' The Knob Chalet, and hope to meet and help our guests learn more about Asheville. We've been hosting Guests since 2015 and we'd love to have you stay with us!

Our new generator ensures our guests have power at all times, and the new mini-split air conditioning unit allows our guests to control their own temperature during their stay.
