Mornings are beautiful and breathtaking... enjoy a cup of coffee while sitting outside next to the river and scoping out Madson Mountain. In the evening try your hand at horseshoes, or just relax in the yard on the hammock and share stories.
Some light weight fishing tackle is provided for those fishing enthusiasts, as they can walk right out the door and wet a line, (Fishing opens June 11th). You may catch a Rainbow Trout, Dolly Varden or even the occasional Grayling. In mid-August, the red salmon are here and spawning, they are beautiful and quite a sight to see!
If you are looking for a more adventurous day of fishing, my son Jared, is a registered fishing guide and would be happy to accommodate you.
Moose Pass is a beautiful little town, surrounded by mountains, lakes, and streams with hiking trails abounding. The opportunities to enjoy nature and all that it offers are endless. We live here because it is Alaska at its Best!
Last but not least, it's a beautiful 30 minute drive to the port town of Seward with The Kenai Fjords, Exit Glacier, the Alaska Sealife Center, Shopping and much more or Cooper Landing and its world famous Russian River Red Salmon fishing. Although Homer is a few hours away and may be a bit of a drive, with an early morning start it can be your adventure for the day. Relax, Settle in and Make this your "Home Away From Home".
