Lovely stay in Valletta

The property was exactly as described. Beautiful authentic Maltese apartment. Was exactly what we hoped for. Location was perfect and James was very helpful and informative. I would recommend it for anyone who wants a true Maltese experience in Valletta.

A Trip Back in Time

Hotels and VRBO flats can be found everywhere in Valletta, a piece of history is another story. Staying here is like time travel, an experience, the Maltese magic. Truly special stay in this authentic Maltese property. You could feel the history literally peeling off the walls. A unique and once in a lifetime experience. I won’t repeat what is referred to in other reviews. The moment we walked in we were captured by the magic of 500-years of history. If you’re looking for a unique experience, feeling history, and creating a travel memory, this is the place for you. If you’re looking for a “sterile” typical “North American” stay, not sure this is for you. Our hosts, James and Jacob, we’re best of class; helpful, informative, and available at all times.

Merveilleuse infrastructure, typique maltaise, classé au patrimoine de l’UNESCO. Logement très chaleureux sur trois étages (avoir des cuisses bien armées). Malheureusement, la dernière pièce est au sous sol donc à prendre en compte qu’il faut manger, faire a manger et se laver dans l’humidité et la chaleur, bien que cette pièce est bien agencée et a énormément de charme. Il faut également noter les désagréments classiques et je dirais même presque inévitable de La Valette, les blattes. Néanmoins, nous avons eu la chance que le propriétaire traite les canalisations (elles arrivent morte dans la pièce). De plus, très bien placé pour le bord de mer, les courses et l’allée commerciale. Le propriétaire est extrêmement sympa, réactif et à l’écoute. Points forts : -très bon emplacement de l’appartement au centre de La Valette et de la plage; - architecture Maltaise; - salon cosy; - très bon propriétaire. Points faibles : - pas de climatisation, uniquement deux ventilateurs à disposition (rez-de-chaussée et chambre); - très forte humidité au sous-sol (cuisine, salle de bain, toilette). - plafond qui s’effrite au rez-de-chaussée, dans la chambre et au sous-sol (attention au linge étendu).

Parfait

Nous venions passer une semaine à malte pour notre anniversaire de mariage. James nous avait laissé une petite attention à la maison pour l’occasion à notre arrivée. De même, il nous a donné plusieurs adresses où nous rendre. La maison est idéalement située, mignonne comme tout, fonctionnelle et surtout ... d’une propreté impeccable. Nous reviendrons avec plaisir.

Since I can remember I have painted and been interested in my surroundings. My childhood memories are of the wonderful Maltese islands and very fascinated and enchanted by Malta's capital city Valletta, the shops and cafes, the churches, the panoramic views and the history of the capital. Now we reside in the UK but love to share our town house Antiqua for a real Maltese holiday accommodation feel.. My only real qualification is my heart which is where I paint from. If its a need, a passion and in your blood you will be an artist, that's all the credibility I need. Enjoy my work, the viewers enjoyment is worth more than any acclaim. You can see some of my paintings from time to time at our charming townhouse, in Valletta or at the qawra apartment.

Since my childhood I was enchanted by Malta's capital city, a city built by the Knights of St John, a city dotted with churches and St John cathedral was my favourite, the panoramic views of the great Valletta harbour, the narrow stepped streets and all the history of our capital.

The main bus terminal in Malta is at the city front, just 10 10-minute walk from our historic and graceful townhouse within the walls of Valletta. Kindly note, that there may be works& renovation on the palazzo above our property from 25th February 2024. Works are only carried out during daytime hours. Prices reflect this inconvenience in mind to our guests
