The Cathedral cities of Ripon and York, together with Ilkley and its famous moor also lie within easy reach and a visit is sure to make a memorable addition to any holiday. Close by are the pretty dales towns of Pateley Bridge, Grassington and Skipton offering a true traditional taste of ‘life in the Dales’. Tourist attractions in the area include Stump Cross Caverns, the Duke of Devonshires sporting estate at Bolton Abbey, the world heritage site of Fountains Abbey and Studley Royal, the National Trust’s Brimham Rocks, or the famous RHS Harlow Carr Gardens.
