Surrounding area: Alanya is a cosmopolitan town with all modern facilities nestling in the foot of the Taurus mountains. The castle provides a stunning backdrop and is well worth a visit, set high on the hillside, the views of the coast and Cleopatra beach are spectacular. There is a cable car up to the castle.

Dim Cay provides a cool alternative to the beach, with its many floating restaurants, you can take a dip in the cool river or use one of the swimming pools at the restaurants.

For younger members of the family, there is a water-park in the centre of town, tennis courts, and go-karting in Oba district.

You might like to take a walk around one of the bustling markets, or take one of the many boat trips around the coast from the harbour

Alanya: Alanya is said to boast 300 days sunshine a year, set on a 16 mile long picturesque coast line, it is steeped in history with ancient ruins at Side, Perge and Aspendos.

You will be spoilt for choice of restaurants, cafe's and bars all serving excellent food, a lovely evening can be spent dining out and watching the sun set behind the mountains, several restaurants offer free entertainment.

The Alanyum is a new purpose built air conditioned shopping centre with shops, cafes's and supermarkets within 15 minutes drive from the villa.
