Enjoy the lake life and relax at Bally K, a cozy 3-bedroom cottage on a secluded 1.5-acre waterfront lot. 28 mins from downtown Charlotte, 5 mins from I-77, in the gold zone for retail and amenities.

This is a low-slope lot. Everybody gets easy access to the water. No steps to climb at the dock, no steps to climb to get home.

Recently renovated with a new kitchen, hardwood floors, and new furnishings. Covered and screened-in porch with dining area. Open deck with great views of the lake.

30' x 30' floating dock. Deepwater lot with 12' - 18' of water at the pier, depending on the season. (12' in winter) Covered gazebo located over the water to enjoy those lake Norman sunsets.

Get unlimited use of the 4 kayaks and the 2 stand-up paddleboards, all free with rental. Launch them from the dock or from the sandy beach at the water's edge. Swim in the safe and protected private bay, no boat traffic, perfect for children of all ages.

Bring your boat, put it in at Haggar creek public access. Navigate less than 1/2 a mile back to our pier, tie it up in the private boat slip.

Time Warner cable with Disney, Nick, Nick Jr, Boomerang, and all of the kid channels. Play Station, Wii, with lots of games. Great place for kids to enjoy their summer vacation.

Free broadband WiFi

10 min drive to Target, Best Buy, Sam's, Wall-Mart, Dick's, Belk's, and more. 10 min drive to great food or take your boat to one of the many lakefront restaurants.

The house is located in a residential neighborhood. At no time are parties or events permitted on the property.

Amazing week at the lake!

The property was absolutely perfect for us. Our son moved to Charlotte 2 years ago and we have always stayed in the city. This time we decided to stay in Lake Norman and were so happy that we did. Our son came to visit us ( our other two children went with us) and it was like a vacation for him too. The cottage was lovely. Honestly it had everything we could have asked for. The area was so peaceful and quiet. We played cards on the screened in deck. The location was convenient to get groceries, etc. I hope to stay here again sometime!!

Perfect Family Get-Away!

What a beautiful little getaway for our adult family of four! We spent the days after Christmas enjoying this cottage, cozy by the fire. We were welcomed with a sweet little Christmas tree and some snacks on the table... such a nice touch. The cottage has everything you will need to stay in and cook but is also convenient to downtown Mooresville and some delicious restaurant options. We spent one afternoon having a family field day in the beautiful yard, playing yard games and warming up by the bonfire between. We also enjoyed board games inside in the evening after grilling steaks on the grill. My favorite was watching the sunset on the end of the dock, bundled up in the Adirondack. Thank you for sharing your perfect little cottage. We really felt like we got away from the hustle of the holidays!

Excellent lake vacation home

If you are searching for a relaxing, clean and a lake view cottage, this is it! We loved our stay and we will definitely be back to make more amazing memories. We thank you for sharing your cozy home with us and welcoming us with a sweet message, treats and christmas tree :) Being able to see deer in the front yard as soon we parked at the property was amazing!!!! Thank you once again!

A perfect secluded spot on the lake

My wife and I had a wonderful 4 night stay at the Bally K Cottage in late October. Pictures are a poor substitute for the scenes you will enjoy here. The house may appear small compared to the neighbors, but as you walk through the door it transforms before your eyes! The vaulted ceiling immediately lends copious space to this delightfully decorated, cozy dwelling. We loved the modern kitchen and the bathroom accent lighting adds so much to the rain-shower experience. Every room has a smartTV which is a nice touch since streaming applications are more and more commonplace. And if pictures dont do justice to the view of the lake through the giant window panes lining the front of the house, then my words will fall even shorter. The screened in porch is a perfect spot to watch the sun rise with your morning coffee before grabbing a life jacket and exploring the lake on the included kayaks. When it comes to sunsets, its hard to beat the view from the gazebo on the dock. I spent each night enjoying the serene stillness of the lake, broken up only by the occasional freindly boater passing by, with a cigar in hand as the sun disappeared. We couldnt have asked for anything more. My only hesitation for writing this review is that I dont want too many people to discover this hidden gem, because I want it to be available for me to rent the next time we can travel to Lake Norman!

Just no like home

My wife and I have stayed here 4 times and have enjoyed each time and have felt at home. Good, quiet location with relaxing porch and deck. Only 10 minutes to grocery stores… we will be back.

Céad Míle Fáilte (Irish for a hundred thousand welcomes)

Born in Ireland, Tom and Katie lived and worked all over the world. Their 2 children attended American schools from Saudi Arabia to Thailand and Indonesia.

Even though they spent more than 30 years traveling the globe, they always called Charlotte home. They are now both retired and spend part of their time at their home in South Charlotte and the rest in Northern Ireland.

They purchased this home in 1982 as a vacation home. Many summers were spent here enjoying the lake.
