Morningstar Farm Cottage, located just North of Jackson, Michigan, offers a fully equipped year-round retreat for those seeking a break from the hectic pace of everyday. With its three bedrooms and two bathrooms, the cottage provides ample space for families and friends to relax and reconnect. The cottage is situated on our family farm, with a private 10-acre lake -a haven for nature lovers. While Malay Lake doesn't have a sandy beach or firm lake bottom, it offers a grass beach where you can enjoy the view, watch the kids swim from the swim platform, fish, or gather around the lakeside fire pit in Adirondack chairs for a cozy evening of roasting marshmallows and hot dogs.

The lake provides various water activities, including swimming off the anchored diving platform, exploring with a complementary rowboat, small bass boat, canoe, or basic pontoon with an electric motor. Accessing the lake is a short 10-minute walk from the cottage. If you have a 4-wheel drive or pickup truck, you can drive down the farm lane (weather permitting). Golf carts are also available for rent. For a larger lake experience, Pleasant Lake public county park with a public swimming beach is just 2 miles away.

Inside the cottage, you'll find a fully equipped kitchen with stainless steel appliances, including a dishwasher and microwave. The dining table comfortably seats 6-8 people, and there are additional seating options available. The large living room features a spacious sectional and a widescreen smart Roku TV with access to Antenna TV, Netflix, and youtubeTV. There are also designated spaces for games, private conversations, and a work station with multiple chargers.

Guests of Morningstar Farm Cottage can enjoy the beautiful setting for hikes, fishing, and swimming. The deck provides a peaceful spot to relax in the fresh air, watch sunsets, and observe farm animals grazing.

The cottage's location offers proximity to Michigan State University, The University of Michigan, Michigan International Speedway, five 27-hole golf courses, the Waterloo Recreation Area, and the Waterloo Hunt Club—all within a 30-minute drive.

Morningstar Farm Cottage welcomes small family reunions (with prior approval), girl's weekends, and corporate leasing. Rather than sending your out-of-town guests to a hotel, they can enjoy the privacy and serene surroundings of the cottage. There's even space for an additional tent and an electrical RV hookup available for an extra charge.
