Enjoyed the quite stay very relaxing
Quaint farmhouse in an ideal location
We stayed for a long weekend & had a fantastic time. The kids loved the open fireplace & rustic nature. The house is clean & the fireplaces were stacked ready for our arrival. The Swiss Mountain hotel is 1km away & Daylesford is only a short drive. You can also ride to town via the Wombat State Forest, but you will need a mountain bike, a map of the forest to negotiate the various trails and be prepared for some hills.
We had a really pleasant stay.
Very rustic and tranquil old farm house. The garden was full of spring flowers and probably at its peak!
A farmhouse down a lane with two wood fires, eclectic furniture, working sheds, primitive bathrooms. Very rustic. 10am checkout too early to enjoy a big breakfast in front of the kitchen fire.
It was a kind of adventure to stay in an old farmhouse and it was easy to find with owner's clear description. There are lots of old things in the house and around and it was interesting to explore. Nice metal work decorating the kitchen, open fire and sheep around the house. The only thing you don't have from description is that this house has steep stairs and it's really steep. The owner was sending me letter about it before booking, to be fair. In previous review you can read, that -"In the house, spider webs and daddy long legs hang in the corners that are hard to get at but the living space is neat and clean." Now, two month later, spider webs were everywhere and daddy long legs were sitting in every corner in toilet and bathroom, sink and shower cabin were full of dead insects, so we cleaned it before use.The house has nice and tide kitchen, clean linen, good towels, heaters in every bedroom, but it also need some general cleaning.
Fun in a farmhouse
It was fun to stay in an old farmhouse and we found the furniture was comfortable. Unique metal work decorating the kitchen was amazing. The farmhouse was easy to find, past a gourmet pub and down a quiet country road. Kangaroos graze in the fields at sunset. Sheep graze in the fields around the house. In the house, spider webs and daddy long legs hang in the corners that are hard to get at but the living space is neat and clean.
