Nestled into a hill on a quiet residential street across from beautiful Lake Flower, our recently-built, one-bedroom cabin combines the old world charm of rustic pine walls and vaulted ceilings with the conveniences of modern life. At the cabin, you are surrounded by the beauty of nature, with views of deer and other wildlife, Lake Flower just across the road, and many of the Adirondack mountains, including Mount Pisgah and Dewey Mountain. Spend your days enjoying one of the best winter vacation towns in the nation.
The cabin is close to restaurants, cross-country skiing, ice skating, and popular downhill skiing. We are ten minutes to Lake Placid (home of the Olympic Village). Enjoy the area activities or cozy up to the propane fireplace, playing games, reading, relaxing, or watching a movie.
You can walk to the end of the street or along the lake to restaurants, shops, and art galleries in the center of town or cook at home with our modern kitchen, including oven, microwave, refrigerator, Keurig, and dishwasher.
Our 500-square-footcabin includes the bedroom with comfy queen-size bed and bamboo sheets, an eating area next to the kitchen, living room with fireplace and sitting area, a den/yoga room off of the living room, and bathroom with shower, electric heater and laundry facilities (washer/dryer). The cabin is wheelchair accessible. Other amenities include Wifi, cable TV, cleaning, plowing, and shoveling services.
We hope that you will feel at home and have a wonderful visit. The kitchen is stocked with spices, Calphalon cookware, crockpot, toaster, blender and fine dinnerware. We have added more homey touches like cozy towels and throws, electric candles, coffee, tea and and, of course, scrabble and a deck of cards. We have stocked the cabin with paper products, shampoo and conditioner, and soaps. YOUR HOSTS:
My husband and I spent the last ten years traveling the United States in our RV. Two years ago we decided to put down roots in Saranac Lake NY. I grew up here and have always wanted to return. Jerry fell in love with the town and says that it feels like home to him, too.
We decided to rent our home when we go south for the winter. Jerry is retired and a golfer, so he “follows the sun”. I am a singer and singing coach. In the summer, I perform and teach in the Saranac Lake area, and during the winter months I do the same in South Florida.
We chose an Adirondack White Pine Cabin because they are so beautifully built – and so very Adirondack in design and style. They lend themselves to lots of customizing while they are being built.
We chose to live on Duprey Street because it is in the heart of the Adirondacks, next to a lake, surrounded by mountains, yet minutes away from just about everything. We couldn’t be happier with our new home and hope that the joy we feel living here is shared by everyone who comes to visit.
