Luxury West Coast 3 Bed Apartment with Private Pool and Path to Beach


Located in the Summerland development along the west coast of Barbados, 2 miles south of Sandy Lane, 'Emerald Pearl' is the only 3 bedroom apartment which has its own large private pool in this charming development. This luxury apartment has high quality furnishings throughout, marble floors, a fully equipped kitchen which includes stainless steel appliances, American fridge/freezer and granite worktops. There is satellite TV, Ipod docking station/CD player and Wi Fi ADSL . The living room opens up onto a 38 feet wide covered terrace for outdoor living and dining and wet bar. There is also a large open terrace with BBQ leading to the pool. The Master bedroom has King size canopy bed and opens onto the covered terrace. There is a fully tiled marble ensuite bathroom with large walk in shower and marble vanity tops. Bedroom 2 has two twin beds which can be made as a King bed and the room also opens up onto the covered terrace by the pool. A further bathroom serves Bedroom 2 & 3. Bed 3 has a queen bed.

Emerald Pearl can be rented as a 2 bed apartment if required. Please ask for rates.

Apartment Management & Housekeeper: Our managing agents are very reliable and well established on the island. The villa manager is always contactable if there are any queries or problems. Our friendly and helpful housekeeper is also on hand six mornings per week and can always help with day to day queries. She will make the beds and change towels daily, change bed linen when required. Personal laundry is by arrangement with her and dependent upon time available.

Emerald Pearl is located two miles south of Sandy Lane and within close proximity to many quality restaurants including The Cliff, The Tides and Daphnes. Summerland is gated (code access only) and comprised of two buildings, one behind the other. Emerald Pearl is located in the first building on the ground floor and has partial sea views. In addition, Emerald Pearl has a private lockable gate leading out from the pool deck with direct access to the communal pool and jacuzzi which is also available for use by guests of Emerald Pearl. The beach at Prospect is also easily accessible from here via a private pathway exclusive to Summerland residents and guests (directly across road). It is a quiet shady beach with good swimming and snorkelling and there are beach chairs which are easily transportable to the beach from the apartment. At low tide you can walk along the beach to Il Tempio restaurant which is open for drinks, lunch and dinner. Holetown is a short drive where many restaurants, shops, banks, supermarkets etc are located. The capital, Bridgetown is also a short drive away for duty free shopping.

Golf: There are several golf courses on Barbados. Royal Westmoreland, Sandy Lane, Barbados Golf Club and Rockley are all courses where you can pay and play. Booking tee times in advance is advisable. Carts and trolleys are available for hire as are clubs also if you do not wish to bring your own.

Please note that there is an additional room levy tax which the Barbados government have introduced which goes to the infrastructure and development of Barbados. This will be collected locally by the managing agents during your stay and is 10% of the total holiday cost.

Louise's property is exactly as advertised. Well furnished and well equipped. The property gives you the best of both worlds, you have your own back yard with a mini pool, access to the complex pool and within a very short walk access to a nice beach and ocean. Denise the house keeper is delightful. Good location however having a car opens up the entire island. Would highly recommend. We look forward to returning someday.

About 25 min from airport, across the street From the ocean. Solidly built so really didn’t hear the above neighbours. Fully cleaned daily by charming house staff. Found restaurants quite expensive locally (very easy to spend 100 bd per person) however there was a local market within a five min walk and a Costco not a far drive. Being a Canadian driving was a bit challenging as there’s double laned roundabouts everywhere and traffic is going in the other direction along with narrow roads. Scuba was very good. Golfing was excellent (but expensive!). Overall sad to leave and hopefully will be back!

Absolutely Superb!
Beautiful, spacious and luxuriously furnished apartment. The pool area is lovely, the photos although good, still don't do it justice. The bedrooms have comfy beds and good air conditioning. The kitchen is remarkably well equipped with dishwasher and American style fridge (with ice maker) to mention a few items. During our stay we made good use of the BBQ on the patio area. Fish was the main offering, sourced from the Paynes Bay roadside fishmonger (Melissa). The jewel in the crown is the very lovely Denise, housekeeper for our stay. Typical amazing Bajan welcome and warmth. Denise would visit 6 days per week, clean, tidy, chat - just a lovely person. An individual side gate gives access to the main pedestrian gate and a 2 minute walk puts you directly on the lovely beach. Turning right and walking 10-15 mins brings you to yet another fine swimming bay outside the Bikini Beach bar - the best rum punch, especially at happy hour (5-6pm)!! Finally, thanks to Louise, the owner. Brilliant communicator throughout. We will be back!

First, not last, time visit to Barbados...
We had a wonderful visit to the island and were shown around by a dear Barbadian friend. The villa was perfectly appointed with two bedroom wings separated by living space and all spaces accessible to lovely covered patio and beautiful pool. Denise, the housekeeper was so nice, friendly and helpful. The only potential drawback could be that the villa was not located within walking distance to all the many shops and restaurants. This was not an issue for us for staying in the perfect villa made up for that.

Villa holiday
Lovely spacious villa which was tastefully decorated. We were well looked after by Denise. Located just across the road from beach but found the road was very noisy. Had a few communication problems with the agent but found the property owner very helpful.

We live in the UK and travelled to Barbados for the first time 20 years ago and fell in love with the island and its people.

Barbados is a beautiful island with diverse landscapes from the stunning west coast to the wild Atlantic east coast and the north where east meets west. It offers something for everyone, watersports, sailing, sightseeing and of course 'just chilling'! The Barbadians are hospitable and friendly and we have made many good friends over the years.

Qué distingue a esta propiedad

We were fortunate to find Summerland before it was built and we knew the developer who had already constructed a development at Mullins Bay which was very successful. Emerald Pearl is the only apartment at Summerland with its own private pool and we have our own access to the property so it is completely private and during these Covid times it is a very safe house. Being on the ground floor gives the feeling of living in a villa rather than an apartment and of course the terrace, with its wet bar, pool, sun deck and small garden means it is totally self contained.
